“The team played a complete match. We had various opportunities in the first half, and the ball practically came out of the goal. The hard work was noted on the pitch, the dynamic of the team and their commitment to football. We generated lots of chances. The rival approached once and got a goal. In the second half, we also kept insisting. The team provoked actions of possible goals, but a bit of luck is often required in football for the ball to find the net. I’m very happy with the team. They are giving everything they’ve got and trying hard. I couldn’t ask more of them. The dynamic is there. The team is performing excellently, but only the goals are missing”.

I enjoyed seeing La Rosaleda as I haven’t seen it for some time, with the crowd really getting behind the team, and supporting them throughout. “We are competing at a very high level. The team is performing well, creating opportunities and making approaches. In Vigo, the rival generated three chances and scored three goals; against Real Madrid, they had two goal occasions and we conceded two goals. We’ve just not had the luck that teams sometimes need, but we are certainly generating scoring opportunities and gameplay. We are insistent in our quest to focus play in the attacking half. The team did very well today. They tried everything, but the goals didn’t come”.
Lacking goals
“We always go out to win. The worse the situation looks, the bigger the team becomes. I’m not shaken or nervous as we’re working extremely hard and the team is doing everything possible to win. The work can be seen. We are solely missing out on goals and claiming the three points”.

“We need to continue working hard during the week in search of goals. We’ve got good goal-scorers, Santos, Charles, Peñaranda, Sandro…Therefore, when the shots at goal don’t reap rewards, we must stay calm so the players continue to work hard. At some point, they have to go in”.
