Sunday 27th May was an historic day for Málaga CF and its Academy. Málaga CF Femenino and Atlético Malagueño moved up a category to become Women’s First Division – Liga Iberdrola - and 2ªB teams respectively.
Today, the Málaga City Council recognised the feat undertaken by both Malaguista teams with a tribute in the Salón de los Espejos, attended by both the Malaguista reserve team and the women’s team players, as well as their coaching teams.
Both teams were photographed on the inner steps of the City Council, as well as the main door alongside Mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, president of the Diputación provincial, Elías Bendodo, and representatives of the different political parties in the city.
