The Club has been unconditionally supporting the blood donation cause for over a decade.  Working alongside the Regional Blood Transfusion Centre, MCF gave away 500 tickets for the Málaga CF – Levante match to people who took part in an emergency blood drive, following an urgent appeal from local hospitals.
 
Málaga CF Advisory Councillor, Antonio Benítez, accepted the ‘Young Donors’ award, presented by the President of the Málaga Youth Association of Blood Donors, ‘La Gota Roja’, Carlos Hugo Guirado Varo.  The Director of the Regional Blood Transfusion Centre, Dr. D. Isidro Prat Arrojo Varo was also present, along with coordinator of the Andalucian Youth Centre in Málaga, Dña. Soraya García Mesa, and President of the Luís Olivares Foundation, Andrés Olivares.
 
Another 144 blood donors were thanked for their help over recent years.  More than 700 people now form part of the ‘Gold Club of Blood Donors.’
