Málaga Club de Fútbol and Getafe Club de Fútbol will do battle in the seventh BBVA league match this Saturday.
Málaga welcomes Getafe to La Rosaleda this Saturday for the seventh BBVA league match. It’s set to be a great game as both teams prioritise good football and both are trying to secure three points to achieve their respective goals: Málaga wants to remain in European positions, whilst Getafe wants to move up from the lower end of the table.
For the Blues and Whites, the last stretch of this week has been characterised by the return to the group of Jesús Gámez; as well as by the physical ailments of French player, Toulalan. However, the rest of the squad, except Weligton and Juanmi, are at Pellegrini’s disposal in order to try and achieve the third consecutive home win of the season. All eyes will be on Baptista and Nistelrooy, who are hoping to score their first goals of the season this Saturday.
On the other hand, there’s Luis García’s team who arrive to Málaga with morale high having won 1-0 last Monday in a game against Betis, the current group leader. But with four points in five games, Getafe will need more wins like that in order to rest easy. The Venezuela-born Miku, with three goals, is the best weapon in a team which counts two ex-Málaga players, Juan Rodríguez and Diego Castro, amongst them. They’re also strengthened by Pedro León and Dani Güiza who played with Spain in the European championship.
Málaga has lost just one of their last six league matches against Getafe, and has scored nine in the league against them. The Málaga goalkeeper, the current ‘Zamora', has accumulated more than 400 minutes without conceding a goal, so he’s step away from beating ‘Koke’ Contreras’ 2002/03 record. Therefore, Getafe has yet to win an away match in 2011. In the 13 games played, they’ve managed four draws and nine defeats.
Málaga and Getafe, Getafe and Málaga, two teams that promise to put on a show with the ball in La Rosaleda which will be capacity-full. It’s a clash to be televised nationwide form 10 p.m
