Pellegrini: “We’re increasingly coming across teams that close earlier”
The Málaga manager, Manuel Pellegrini, spoke to the media in La Rosaleda’s press room ahead of the game tomorrow (10 p.m) when Málaga Club de Fútbol takes on Getafe Club de Fútbol.
Pellegrini's statements:
(Toulalan). “We’ll see how Toulalan gets on over the next 24 hours, he’s been good so far, and therefore we put him on the list and I think he might be fit to play.”
(Gámez). “He’s recovered and training with the team without any trouble. He’s got no muscular problems.”
(Getafe). “All teams have the need to score whatever situation. Getafe is a good team, reinforced with a manager who’s got a proven track record and we’re going to find them to be a difficult opponent.”
(Team’s game plan). “To have more possession and goal chances than the rival would be positive; and what we’re after is that the offensive and defensive elements work together to multiply these chances so we can nail them. We’ve got the forwards and midfielders necessary to do just that. We’re increasingly coming across teams that close earlier, but we’ve got it clear that we want to arrive focused, and that’s the responsibility of the whole team., not just one individual player, nor one section of the squad. The team’s functioning well despite the drought of the forwards. We’re not worried or obsessed by anything.”
(Defence). “With Eilseu and Monreal, we have that area well covered and with the current defence, we’re getting results, as we are in many other positions as we’re working with all the players.
(Those signed-up). “We’ve found a stable eleven, but that’s not to say, that they’re gong to play all year. Performances and tactical movements etc, mean that there won’t be fixed names in any position.”
