Málaga CF Femenino’s possible rivals in the play-offs

The RFEF will announce the fixtures this afternoon for the promotion play-offs to LaLiga Iberdrola, where the Blue and Whites will be fighting for a place. These are the seven champions of the Second Division groups.

This Monday afternoon Málaga CF Femenino will know their rivals for the two coveted places in LaLiga Iberdrola 2018/19. Fighting for these spots are the leaders of the seven groups in the Spanish Second Division.

Group I (Galicia, Asturias and Cantabria)

Real Oviedo Femenino is the leader of this competition with 75 points from 25 victories and just one defeat. The ‘Carbayón’ rival has scored 113 goals and conceded just seven.

Group II (Basque Country and Navarra)

EF Logroño, with 63 points, is the champion of this group. The team scored 63 goals and conceded 23. Twenty victories, three draws and three defeats make up the final balance of results.

Group III (Catalonia and Balearic Islands)

CE Seagull qualified to the play-offs in second place of the group, as the leader, FC Barcelona B, is a reserve team and cannot move up a category. The side from Badalona has 61 points from 19 victories, four draws and three defeats. In regard to goals, they have scored 70 and conceded 15, leaving +55 in the pot.

Group IV (Andalucía and Extremadura)

Málaga CF Femenino is the group champion with 71 points. The 23 victories, two draws and just one defeat enable them to qualify for promotion to LaLiga Iberdrola. The 129 goals scored by the Blue and Whites - the second-highest scorers of the hopefuls - and conceding just six, makes them the most secure in defence.

Group V (Madrid and Castilla y León)

CD Tacón is the league champion with 71 points, the same as Málaga CF Femenino, with 23 wins, two draws and one defeat. The scoring record shows 107 goals scored and nine conceded.

Group VI (Canaries)

CD Femarguín de Arguineguín (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) is the highest-scoring team in the Second Division. Their 240 goals, and nine conceded, stemmed from 26 victories, thereby accumulating the 78 possible points.

Group VII (Valencia, Murcia and Castilla La Mancha)

The last of the candidates is SPA Alicante. Sporting Plaza Argel Femenino, as is the full name, came top of the group with 63 points. Out of the 20 victories, three draws and three defeats, they scored 83 goals and conceded 22.
