The day got off to an early start. The Blue and Whites’ players began the session inside the stadium’s interior galleries. After completing the first part of training inside the sports stadium, Míchel’s men stepped on to the pitch to alternate between continuous running in groups and exercises with the ball. Homegrown players, Samu Casado, Kellyan and the recently incorporated Andrés Prieto, focused on more specific goalkeeping training. In addition, it was Martín Demichelis’ first day as part of Míchel’s coaching team.
Peñaranda and Ontiveros, who are continuing their respective recovery processes, were not in training with their teammates. The return to work was marked by the medical strength tests undertaken by the players (which will continue this afternoon and tomorrow), in different groups, at the Advanced Centre of Sports Medicine, (CAMDE) at INACUA.
The team will be back in training this afternoon at the Ciudad de Málaga (19:30), and tomorrow, Thursday, the team will return to work at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium before heading to Benahavís from the 6th to 14th July.
