Kameni’s time with Málaga CF comes to an end

The goalkeeper leaves the Entity after reaching an agreement with the Club to terminate their contractual relationship.

Carlos Kameni arrived at Málaga CF from RCD Espanyol in the 2011/12 season, debuting against his ex-team, in Barcelona, on 25th March 2012. Following an initial stage where he didn’t have any minutes on the field of play, when Willy Caballero left he became the starting goalkeeper from the 2014/15 campaign.

During his time with the Blue and Whites, the Cameroonian-born goalkeeper competed in 113 matches in the First Division, seven in the Copa del Rey and one UEFA Champions League game.

Amongst these records, in the 2015/16 season, his achievements helped to secure the best stats in history as MCF in regard to goals conceded, 25 out of 28 matches.

Málaga Club de Fútbol would like to thank Carlos Kameni for his professionalism during these years, and wish him the best of luck on his new footballing journey.
