This Sunday 7th April, Málaga CF will host a very special match at La Rosaleda at 12:00 in honour of the 120th anniversary of Málaga football. A retro kit, new, flags in the stands and a photo full of history, among other surprises.
On 3rd April 1904, 3,000 people from Malaga gathered to see a football match for the first time. This Sunday at La Rosaleda, more than 25,000 fans will pay tribute to them 120 years and four days later. Happy anniversary!
Vintage kit
The squad will play the match with a very special kit. The players will wear a version of the shirt commemorating the 120th anniversary of Málaga football. In addition, the goalkeepers will wear a uniform similar to the one Malaguista goalkeeper José Antonio Gallardo used to wear as a tribute to him.
Photo of legends
A representation of several generations of Blue and White players will pose next to the starting-11 in a historic photo.
Flags and face painting
The stands will once again boast an extraordinary atmosphere. To bring even more colour, our volunteers will distribute pennants at the entrances and paint the faces of the little ones.
Guard of honour
A group of children will form an emotional ‘guard of honour’ with large Malaguista flags. They will welcome the players as they enter the field of play.
A great deal of history
A large representation of the former Malaguista presidents will be in attendance in the Presidential Box to watch the match live.
A very emotional arch
To celebrate this anniversary, Dental Clinics has given the Malaguistas an arch through which the players will come out that imitates the iconic old façade of La Rosaleda Stadium.
Special Grillaera shirts
Grillaera won the affection of the public with their distribution of t-shirts at half-time. This time around, Grillaera will launch t-shirts with a special design for the fans for the 120th anniversary.
Olin penalties
As a final touch, Olin has given 10 fans the opportunity through their social networks to take a penalty after the match.
