Luis Muñoz: “We hope to achieve salvation at home”
The Malaguista captain held a press conference following the game at the Helidoro Rodríguez López. “I’m very happy, better sensations every day,” he said.
Luis returned to the pitch after seven months. The Malaguista number ‘8’ returned to the starting-11, wearing the captain’s armband. “Firstly, I’d like to thank my family, who have been with me since the moment I got injured; my wife who is always by my side; Toni (Tapia) who has been there from the outset; all the physios; the coaching team; my teammates,” he stated. “I’m very happy, better sensations every day. I hope it continues.”
Regarding the team’s performance against one of the best sides in the division, he commented: “We knew it was going to be a very tough match. Even in the warm-up we went out there determined to get the ball. We wanted to get the three points as we know how difficult this season is.”
Despite the good result, the team still hasn’t sealed the objective. Next week the lads are back at La Rosaleda against Burgos CF. Luis stated: “This week we hope to achieve salvation at home on front of our fans. Salvation, if we can achieve it this weekend, will be for everyone at La Rosaleda. The coaching team, the players, the directors…”. “We hope we’ll be able to celebrate it at home,” he concluded.
