Dani Martín: “We’ll fight to the death for the next three points”

The Blue and White goalkeeper spoke to the media following his superb performance against CD Tenerife: “I feel very confident,” he said.

Goalkeeper Dani Martín made three stunning saves helping to maintain a clean sheet for the Malaguistas on their visit to the Heliodoro Rodríguez López. The keeper, following the duel, spoke to MCFTV where he assessed the three points the team won: “We’ve kept a clean sheet for two matches, which is so important for the confidence of the defence. We’ve grown a lot, the team has a lot of confidence. Taking the three points from here, a very tough ground and in a very difficult match, gives us a real boost that we have to maintain next week,” he commented.

Next weekend MCF will host Burgos CF at La Rosaleda. He said of the upcoming game: “We’ve got another very difficult match coming up at the weekend and we need to give all we’ve got. From there, if we can get a point, we’ll be very close to the objective. We’ll fight to the death for the next three points and finally bring a close to the season,” he explained.

Lastly, Dani spoke of his performance and his great moment on top form: “I’m the same as when I started playing, the same one who made the mistakes. I’ve changed a lot of things, especially within myself, psychologically, and I think that's what’s given me the extra confidence and consistency I needed since the beginning of the season. I feel very confident, which is down to the coach. I hope the team and the fans notice it,” he concluded.
