“The truth is this was a very important match, perhaps the rival had slightly more necessity to win than us, but even so we knew that if we lost tonight we’d be in trouble. We’ve now taken a little bit of oxygen with this victory, but we can’t get side-tracked as we’ve got a very difficult calendar coming up, and we need to continue”.

Good work

“It’s clear that we generated opportunities to avoid so much suffering towards the end, but I think we’ve come out stronger with such a tough win. The whole team worked hard, from upfront to the goal, and I believe we all deserved a positive result”.

Fair victory

“When we defend, we all defend, and when we attack, we all attack. They tightened up in the second half and we had to respond, but defensively we were solid. In the end it’s a joint effort, and the team should be congratulated for their performance. It reinforces the daily work because, as I said last week, it’s not being reflected in the results. It’s my opinion that football was being a little unfair to us in regard to results. I think this victory will strengthen us”.
