La Rosaleda and the determination to win

Hours before #MálagaLugo the atmosphere was intense. Enjoy the run-up to the game inside and outside the stadium and the reaction of the three goals that led to the victory, bringing an end to the losing streak at home.

Every Malaguista has their own ritual when it comes to experiencing a match at La Rosaleda Stadium. The MCFTV cameras toured the outskirts of Martiricos and inside the Blue and White venue, on a Sunday afternoon of football.

The fans, dressed in their team’s strip they brought from home or purchased at the official store, entered the temple through the turnstiles to take up positions in the stands that gradually filled up, waiting for the start of #MálagaLugo at 18:30.

Below the stands, activity was hectic, with the staff working on the match ensuring everything runs smoothly.

The team went out to warm up half an hour before kick-off, but beforehand the Malaguista mascot SuperBoke came out of the tunnel, to the delight of the young fans.

One of the youngest in Pepe Mel's 11, who enjoyed a victory for the first time as Málaga CF coach, was Cristian Gutiérrez, a Marbella-born player from the MCF Academy who was making his debut at home. And what a debut it was.

After four minutes he scored the first goal of the match to the excitement of the 14,623 Malaguistas who celebrated the victory at La Rosaleda after 11 months.

The Blue and White fans enjoyed Cristian's goal, along with Rubén Castro's, who now matches Zarra with 281 goals between the First and Second Divisions, and, of course, the third, by Dani Lorenzo with 15 minutes remaining.

Moments of enjoyment and liberation for the fans that deserved this victory at home, not forgetting the difficult moments conceding the two goals in the final stages.

The team once again won three points at home to dedicate to the fans, who cheered the team on tirelessly during the more than 95 minutes of #MálagaLugo.

There was a massive determination to win at La Rosaleda.
