Peña Malaguista de Frigiliana celebrates its 20th anniversary

The Blue and White peña celebrated its 20^th anniversary yesterday with an institutional event that brought together fans, municipal representatives, and members of Málaga Club de Fútbol in a day marked by Malaguista pride and recognition of two decades of unconditional support for the club.

Representing Málaga CF was a delegation led by footballer Josue Dorrio, accompanied by Protocol and Institutional Relations Adviser, Paco Martín Aguilar, and advisory board member Antonio López. Also in attendance was Miguel Molina, president of the Federación de Peñas Malaguistas, along with members of several supporters’ clubs from the Axarquía region.

The celebration was divided into two parts. First, a visit to the Pabellón Deportivo ‘Villa de Frigiliana’, where Josue Dorrio delighted the youngest fans by signing autographs, shirts, and taking photos. Afterwards, the delegation moved to the supporters’ club headquarters, located at the ‘Génesis’ pub, the venue for the main anniversary event.

With president of the local peña Aurelio Torres as host and master of ceremonies, and in the presence of the mayor of Frigiliana, Alejandro Herrero, attendees shared special moments and enjoyed an exquisite buffet featuring local products. There was also an exchange of gifts, and the club presented the peña with a signed shirt from the first team.

“I’m very grateful for your warm welcome. I hope you continue with this passion for many years, at least another 20,” said Josue Dorrio. “Thank you for supporting Málaga. Let’s make it bigger together, starting with our children,” said Aurelio Torres in the closing speeches.

The strengthening of Malaguista spirit beyond the capital highlights the loyalty and commitment of the Peña Malaguista de Frigiliana, established as a benchmark for Malaguismo in the Axarquía. It was a day of camaraderie that reaffirms the bond between Málaga CF and its fans. Here’s to another 20 years!
