Sportextremadura – Málaga match preview

Málaga CF Femenino will play away against Sport Extremadura CD on matchday 17 of Group 3 of the Segunda Federación. The fixture, originally postponed, will take place on Sunday at 12:00.

The match is being held at the Instalaciones Deportivas Municipales de El Vivero. It promises to be an exciting clash between the Malaguistas, currently second in the table and in a promotion playoff spot with 38 points, and the league leaders, the Extremadura team on 46 points, who would earn direct promotion to Primera Federación.

Málaga CFF come into the match after beating CD Grande 1-3 away in the last match, with goals from Yessenia, Alicia and Arantxa. The Extremadura side also won on the road, 1-2 at the home of Cacereño Atlético 'B'.

On an individual level, home player Alba Zafra has scored 11 goals and is three behind the group’s top scorer, former Malaguista Celia Ruano. Blue and White forward Alicia also has 11 goals. It is also worth noting that, in goal, the two best season averages in terms of goals conceded belong to Victoria Hernando of Sport Extremadura CD and Amor Leigh, goalkeeper of MCFF.
