Peña Benamiel celebrates 30 years of Malaguismo

The supporters’ group, founded in Benalmádena in 1995, is celebrating its 30th anniversary with an event that brought together a large number of Malaguistas at the Plaza de la Mezquita in Arroyo de la Miel.

It was a special day yesterday, Thursday 3rd April, for the Peña Malaguista Benamiel. In 2025, it will mark 30 years of existence for one of the most iconic federated Málaga fan clubs, and the Club didn’t want to miss the commemorative event for this milestone.

Málaga CF first-team player Dani Lorenzo led a delegation from the club, which also included advisory board member Antonio López and Juanfran Funes, coach of Club Atlético Malagueño. The Marbella-born player received numerous expressions of affection from the Málaga fans present at the event, especially from the youngest supporters.

The sports journalist from Canal Sur, Juan Carlos Tirado, served as the master of ceremonies for an emotional event attended by Benalmádena Town Hall members Raúl Campos and Alejandro Carretero. Also present were Miguel Infante, president of Peña Malaguista Benamiel, and Miguel Molina, president of the Federación de Peñas Malaguistas.

The passion and loyalty to the Blue and White colours define the Malaguistas from Benalmádena Costa, who made a strong comeback in 2018. Their support is exemplary, both at La Rosaleda and during away games, where they travel countless kilometres to back the team.

Here’s to another 30 years, Malaguistas!
