Kuzmanovic: “I want to show what I wasn’t able to show last season”

Zdravko Kuzmanovic returns to the Málaga CF discipline having recovered from his physical discomfort: “I’m not in pain anymore, I hope to start playing matches as soon as possible”.

The player was presented to the media, along with Cenk Gönen, at the events hall of the Hospital Vithas Parque San Antonio, situated on Avda del Pintor Joaquín Sorolla in Málaga.

Sports director, Francesc Arnau, accompanied by Club adviser, Antonio Benítez says of the players’ incorporation: “I’ve been in contact with him since LaLiga ended to see how his recovery was coming along. I know that on a physical level he’s fine”, he explains.

Call from Arnau

“It was a surprise. Last season I was only able to play four games with Málaga, in what was a difficult year for me. I would have liked it to have been a more normal campaign, but I had a serious injury which made it tough for me to play more matches. Arnau phoned me this summer, and from that moment, my first option was always to return to Málaga CF. I would like to thank the Club and everyone for this opportunity. I will try to show my qualities this season, which last year was impossible”.

Camacho

“I knew Camacho very well last season. He’s a great player, and very important to Málaga CF. I’m not the same player, I’m a little bit different, although I do play in the same position. I will bring my best defensive and tactical level to the team”.

Physical discomfort

“Physically, I’m getting better every day. I underwent a preparation with FC Basel early on, and now am doing another preparation with Málaga CF, so my physical fitness is good. In regard to my injury, I’m doing well, I’m not in pain anymore, which is important. I hope to start playing matches as soon as possible. We’ve got various games coming up before the season kicks off, and I hope to be at 100 per cent for the start of LaLiga”.

Pre-season

“We’re training very hard now, at this point in the pre-season, which is important. We’re all a little tired, but that’s normal. I think the coach did a great job at the end of last season. There are various games on the horizon before we start the season, and the important thing is that all the players are ready”.
