Málaga CF officially presented African central defender with a French Passport, Bakary Koné, in front of the media today at La Rosaleda’s press room. “I’m a very physical defender.”
During the presentation of the player, who will have ‘Koné. B’ on the back of his shirt, Malaguista president, Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani was in attendance, along with sports director, Francesc Arnau.
(First days)“The first contacts with the coach have been very positive, and I think everything will turn out great. The first feelings have been very good.”
(Opportunity)“Coming to Málaga will broaden my horizons, and it’s very exciting for me. I’ve been with Olympique de Lyon for five years, and it seemed like a great opportunity for my career to head in a new direction.”
(Ambition)“It would be exciting to play in European competitions. The team is made up of young and experienced players, so it’d be amazing to qualify to Europe.”
(Motivation)“This is the first time I’ve played outside France. I know the great strikers from the Spanish League, which is a big motivation for me, and I hope to live up to the challenge.”
(Characteristics)“I prefer others to describe me. I’m a very physical defender, I like to help the team and I hope to give the best of myself.”
