The Blue and Whites’ player returned to the pitch against Athletic having overcome a few physical problems: “If we maintain the same level we showed the other day, the team will be able to do anything it wants”.
Better mood
“I think spirits were up following the difficult match the other day when we were left with 10 men. Of course, we only gained a point when we really needed to earn three, but I think it’s important. Both the fans and ourselves advanced and we gained the confidence we’ve been missing up until then. If we maintain the same level we showed the other day, when we came back from 1-3 down, I think the team, at this level, can do anything it wants”.
Return
“To join the game from the bench is tough because you go out there with the match at a different rhythm. It’s true that I felt somewhat tired and out of breath. However, I think that’s normal, you gain pace gradually by playing minutes and matches, so I’m sure I’ll be back at full pace very soon”.

“I’ve always said that the good thing about football is that things can change completely from one week to the next. From being nearly out of the game, we levelled up, and if we win at the Sánchez-Pizjuán everything will be seen in another light. The team will go there to win and not look back. However, whether the team loses, draws or wins, we’ll always have the same desire to continue improving, learning and fighting for everything”.
