MCF’s International Academy is a project through which the Club seeks to expand its DNA to the U.S., China and other parts of the world.
Marcelo Romero, Malaguista player and coach, is the director and main standard bearer of the project, with which the Malaguista Entity has a stronghold overseas, the MCF International Academy.
Within this new body, Málaga CF exports its formula of work via camps, academies and agreements with clubs from around the world. A good example are the camps that already operate in the U.S. and China, which have been a complete success; coaches from the Blue and Whites’ lower categories head to these countries to train the players.
Furthermore, the Club opens the doors of La Rosaleda to train footballers and coaches in Málaga. The professionals will be welcomed to the youth ranks to learn the MCF methodology ‘in situ’.
These relationships allowed Málaga CF to cover the formative process of the youth player, both as a footballer and a person. An alternative that provides them with complementary work placements, via university scholarships at North American universities and MLS groups, as well as agreements for loans to European and Asian teams.
