Málaga CF coach, José Alberto López took part in a press conference in the run-up to #MálagaLasPalmas on Saturday.

Firstly, he analysed the upcoming rival, UD Las Palmas, stating that “they have an excellent squad, a team with great quality.” He highlighted Jesé and Jonathan Viera, whom he said are “First Division players.” For José Alberto, the rival from the Canaries is “a very associative team and this season they’ve taken a step up in terms of intensity and regaining possession in the rival half.”

The Malaguista coach said Málaga CF and UD Las Palmas “are two teams that we like to see, with very showy football, contrasting styles and who are both on good form.”

José Alberto never tires of praising the Malaguista fans, stating “everything they do is amazing.” In relation to the massive crowd at La Rosaleda, he said “there’ll be so many fans there and we’ll thank them by giving our all on the pitch.”

“It’s going to be a wonderful afternoon of football for whole families to come and support the team, and we want them to go home happy,” he said.

With the support of the Malaguista fans, José Alberto says the team “has the opportunity to claim the second home win, which is important for our confidence.” Although he recognises that “it’s going to be difficult,” adding that “in front of our fans we have to go for it. It’ll be a struggle, but we have to feel strong at home,” he added.
