López analysed today’s defeat: “We were outdone throughout by Ponferradina. We were unrecognisable and Ponferradina will punish you when you make any mistake. Ponferradina did what they set out to do and the result is a fair one.”
“This is the Second Division. We weren’t the best the other day, neither were we the worst today. It’s tough but this is part of a team’s process, and you have to suck it up. We’re very disappointed, but now it’s about recovering and concentrating on the next match,” he added.
The coach went on to say: “We’ll adjust and fix things as we do in each game. We have to focus on the aspects we need to improve and correct,” noting that “the match didn’t go our way from the outset. There are no excuses, Ponferradina were the better team which is why they enjoyed such a big win. Nothing went well for us today.”
