Javi Jiménez: “Coming back to Málaga is a dream come true for me”

The latest Malaguista signing sent a video to MCFTV featuring his first words as a Blue and White player: “From the first moment I arrived, my commitment is 100% with the Club and the team”.

A dream come true

Coming back to Málaga is a dream come true for me. I was upset when I left. It was a complete season, both on a sporting and personal level. It was a great experience for me. It allowed me to grow as a professional and an athlete, and I was able to meet people who have influenced me and whom I still keep in touch with”.

He went away a boy, came back a man

“I’ve matured in many ways. Not only as a player, maturing as a person gives you that self-discipline that you sometimes need on the pitch. All that maturity that I have been able to achieve, which at that time I didn’t have, hence why I left Malaga, was down to past circumstances, through good times and, above all, not so good times. It’s also down to the people I’ve met, very special people who have helped me a lot. I’ve learned so much from them. I must thank all the clubs I’ve been part of up to now. Javi hasn't changed much, but he's more mature”.

A place to grow personally and professionally

“The fact that I already know the coach and the Club was one of the fundamental reasons why I chose to come to Malaga. I think it’s the best option, not only on a sporting level. I’m returning somewhere I felt very comfortable, and that will help me on a day-to-day basis. Knowing the coach is also very important, but I also know Manolo and many people from the Club. It’s also crucial that you can grow in all aspects, not only in terms of sport, and Málaga has it all. From the first moment I arrived, my commitment is 100% with the Club and the team so it’ll be a great year for us all. The Entity and the fans deserve it”.
