Nacho: “The effort has been incredible”

The coach of MCF’s Juvenil ‘A’ team considers it “a true feat” to be among the top four youth teams in Spain. “You could see our philosophy of play”, he said after the draw in Bilbao.

A draw with a winning flavour

“We’re delighted. In terms of the match, we were up against a team that hasn’t lost a game at home. We were on the verge of beating them, but perhaps that last goal made us relax a bit and they managed to go level from that set piece”.

First minutes

“Beyond that particular play, the boys’ efforts have been incredible from the outset. They went out there raring to go. We know the rival would pile the pressure on from the start and would make things very difficult for us. Yet we managed to take the lead on the scoreboard. This also gave us a little more confidence”.

Philosophy

“During the 90 minutes you could see our philosophy of play. We went all out to win the game, we didn’t speculate with the result, and only moved a little further back as they did, not because we withdrew”.

Top 4 in Spain

“Everyone is thrilled. Being among the top four in Spain is a true feat. We must value the effort the boys put in, considering the Club’s financial situation, the issue of signings and training all season. It hasn’t been easy”.
