Iván Jaime: “We’re looking forward to playing matches”

It's the turn of the young reserve team player to have a chat with MCFTV this Wednesday: “I’m from Málaga, what could be better than playing for the team from my city”, said the talented midfielder.

Group training

“Now we’re working on shorter matches and having more people in the group makes it easier to work. Hopefully we’ll all be able to train together and get back to normal soon. With more players, it’s easier to do everything. With 10 players it’s a little more difficult, and although only another four have been added to each group, it makes a difference and we can train better”.

Motivation

“New faces, today I’ve seen people I hadn’t seen before in all these training sessions, which is great. Beforehand there were three groups and, practically, we didn’t coincide at all. It’s great to see more of our teammates again. Knowing the dates motivates us a lot and we’re really looking forward to playing matches”.

Sporting aspect and The Academy

“We are all in this together and are one big family, which is great when it comes to training. Manolo keeps on top of everything to do with the first team and knows us all well. Moving players up from the youth ranks to the first team is great. I’m very happy, I think it’s perfect. I’m from Málaga, what could be better than playing for the team from my city, being part of the first team”.

High temperatures

“Hopefully it won’t be too hot, but we know what it’s like in Málaga and the weather is spectacular. The later the matches are, the better for us, so it won’t be as warm”.

Lockdown

“I leave here and go straight home. At most I’ll nip out to go shopping or something, but I stay at home all day to recover and then do it all again the following day”.

Fans

“The fans will support us as much as they can from home. It’s a shame they can’t be at the stadium, but we know they’ll support us and will always be there for us”.
