The MCF Foundation joins ‘Operación Potito’

The Club has collaborated with the contribution of 4,000 jars of baby food with the objective of no baby going without food during this time of crisis.

Málaga CF, via the MCF Foundation, has joined ‘Operación Potito’, an initiative undertaken by Malagueños Chicho Marín and Juande Villena, a businessman within the restaurant sector and provincial deputy within the Diputación de Málaga, respectively. Both are historic Málaga CF season ticket holders.

This operation, which the MCF Foundation didn’t hesitate to get involved with, came about during the coronavirus crisis, with the aim of no baby going without food during such a difficult time for many families. Thanks to the initiative promoted by Chicho and Juande, more than 3,000 families have already benefitted throughout various areas within Málaga province.

Málaga CF judicial administrator, José María Muñoz; MCF Foundation coordinator, Lucas Rodríguez; and representative from the Foundation’s social department, Sebastián Fernández Reyes ‘Basti’, presented the donation of the food this Thursday 28th May at La Rosaleda. In total, 4,000 jars of baby food have been donated to 15 associations: Ángeles de la Luz, Custodia Compartida Mijas, Asociación Animación Malacitana, Asociación Marroquí, Asociación Nena Paine, ADINTRE, Asociación Ochavalia, Comedor Santa Teresa, Asociación Eo, Eo, Un Sí Por La Vida, Aldeas Infantiles Málaga, Amusuvig, Asociación ARRABAL, Nueva Cultura para el Desarrollo and El Biberódromo, for all the babies in Málaga.

Complying with the regulations in place in regard to safety distance and sanitary measures, the baby food was delivered, which has already started to be sent to the various families.

Long may the Malaguista wave of solidarity continue!
