Yesterday, Wednesday, a new blood and bone marrow donation drive took place, organised by the Málaga CF Foundation. The campaign, inspired by the unforgettable Pablo Ráez, attracted nearly 200 participants.
Throughout the afternoon, from 15:00 until 21:00, a steady stream of people came to the transfusion centre to support this charitable cause. Donors received a fun scratch card with guaranteed prizes, which included official jerseys, tickets for the upcoming #MálagaCastellón match this Sunday at La Rosaleda, signed footballs, discounts at official MCF stores, and tours of the club's museum.
Emilio Alfonso Martínez, the medical coordinator of the centre, expressed his gratitude in advance for the generosity of the people of Málaga and Malaguistas, emphasising the importance of maintaining a steady blood supply to support the more than 170 daily procedures carried out across the province.
The event also served to inform and register new bone marrow donors. A day where football and solidarity played on the same team.
The MCF Foundation, very pleased with the campaign and the public's response, hopes to repeat the experience in the coming months at the Hospital Civil and continue supporting such a vital and necessary initiative.
