Malaguista coach, Pablo Guede held a press conference in the ‘Juan Cortés’ press room at La Rosaleda in the lead-up to tomorrow’s match away to CD Tenerife.
Firstly, he recognised that “we’ve worked hard” and “the players are very involved and aware.”
Focusing a little more on the dynamics of the preparations for #TenerifeMálaga, he added: “The players have had a tremendous week, really good, and we continue to grow.” He went on to talk about the support he feels from the Club. “José María and Manolo Gaspar have given me peace of mind and support, and want me to continue moving forward.”
In regard to tomorrow’s rival, Pablo Guede commented: “Tenerife are a solid team, with a coach who is very clear about how they play. They have established movements in attack and defence, and although they have a number of casualties, they’re going to be in the fight. They’ll surely be up there with the great job the coach is doing, and they have decisive players in certain positions.”
Speaking of the players who have suffered physical problems over the past few days, he confirmed that “Bustinza, Juande and Dani Lorenzo are in the squad list, with minor discomfort. Yesterday we stopped Juande so he could focus on other training and feel better, Unai has only just re-joined and Dani performed well during the week.”
Moussa, new to the squad list together with Bustinza and Dani Lorenzo, replaces Andrés Caro, who “fell, he couldn't take the pain in his patella any longer, and he was treated yesterday. He’s totally ruled out.”
