Press conference
“The players are getting very little reward”

Coach Pablo Guede held a press conference following the 3-1 defeat at the Rodríguez López. “Being a man down in this division is very tough,” he said about Bustinza’s expulsion.

Guede started out by saying: “I'm not going to make any excuses,” although, he remarked “that was never a penalty, we were down to 10 men… The first goal stemmed from another rebound on one of our players that ended up in the goalkeeper's hands...These things are happening to us during this streak. I’m upset for the players who are getting very little reward for all their hard work.”

“Juanfran was telling me about the penalty, and I’ve just seen it, they hit him,” he asserted about the action that led to the decisive 2-1 lead for the home side. In regard to whether his job is on the line, he commented: “I'm not afraid, as I have to worry about other things,” he stated.

Bustinza’s red card sealed the fate of the game. “Being a man down in this division is very tough. We coped with it well, but then came that play, we missed a simple rebound and it fell to them, and of course Juanfran’s action. I don’t understand how the VAR didn’t see it, but this is the moment we’re in now,” he said.

Finally, the Argentinean coach added that “we had chances to take the lead in the first half, but football is about winning and we’re not doing that.”
