Guede: “United it’s much more difficult for them to beat us”

The Blue and White coach held a press conference this Friday at the Club’s ‘Juan Cortés’ press room. Beforehand, an emotional minute’s silence was held in memory of sports journalists Jorge Ramos and Santi Roldán who recently passed away.

Before it got underway, the assembled media expressed their condolences to Jorge Ramos Leiva, in attendance at the press conference of coach Pablo Guede, who hugged Jorge Ramos' son with great affection.

In regard to tomorrow’s rival, the coach said “Oviedo are a great team, they know what they’re playing and they do it well. In this match we have to be guided by the game we’re going to play, and when we attack, we can do them some damage,” he said, going on to refer to former Malaguista Borja Bastón as “a striker who’s on a roll.”

The fans will be crucial tomorrow. “We have four matches left, four finals, and united it’s much more difficult for them to beat us. Thanks to the Club’s initiative, I have no doubt that the people will respond,” said the Argentinean.

This week, for Guede, “was good from all points of view. I'm happy, but the day I'm not, I'll say so. We train a lot, doubling shifts, so we all work the same. Preparing for the match that we know is not going to be easy,” he stated.

The Malaguista coach isn’t worried about being just four points above the drop zone: “We went out to play Leganés with a four-point difference and we won. We need to focus on ourselves, nobody else. Concentrate on us, without adding any more pressure or anything extra.”

Finally, he echoed the same message: “There are four finals left. No more. Four matches, and we need to give everything we’ve got,” Guede concluded.
