  • Almost a year ago, on 22nd May 2021, Francesc Arnau passed away. He was Real Oviedo’s sporting director at the time, was a Málaga CF goalkeeper for a decade (2001-2011), as well as MCF Academy head and the Club’s sporting director.
  • The fourth time Málaga CF and Real Oviedo will play each other in the Second Division at La Rosaleda Stadium. In the previous three games, the Blue and Whites obtained two victories (3-0 in 18/19 and 2-1 in 19/20) and one draw (1-1 in 20/21).
  • In addition, there was a Málaga-Oviedo clash at La Rosaleda during the 20/21 season, in the second round of the Copa del Rey. A goal from Chavarría in extra time (1-0) got the Malaguistas to the next round.
