Gracia: “We must be capable of showing what we’re feeling”

Coach, Javi Gracia affirms that his team will face Atlético de Madrid with “all our courage and confidence that we’ll make the most of our options and achieve something positive.”

Rival

“We know our rival is a great team and currently experiencing a very positive streak.  We are also aware of the difficulty we’ll be up against with Atlético, but we’ll face the match with all our courage and confidence that we’ll make the most of our options to earn a point or even win tomorrow.”

Improve our image

“Improving our performance in the Cup match isn’t going to be difficult, in fact it’ll be relatively easy.  There is a lot of room for improvement.  We need to be at a very high competitive level, try and impose our style of gameplay and keep their strengths under control.  They are very strong, and certainly won’t make things easy for us, but regardless of this we’ll exploit our full potential.”

Arnau’s appointment as sports director

“We talked over the first few days about the situation surrounding the team and the future.  I’m here to help with everything possible, and he’s in the same position.  There are very good intentions, and I hope in future the results accompany all our hard work.”

Meeting of the players

“I think Charles’ words in yesterday’s press conference were sincere and demonstrate the commitment of every player.  I also said to them: we need to be capable of not just saying and feeling it, as I truly know how they all feel, but we also need to show it, as in our last match we weren’t able to.  Their intentions and how they all feel is in no doubt.”
