Frigiliana is one of the most recognised towns on the Costa del Sol. Its beauty, gastronomy and hospitality enamour every visitor who returns time and again. Unsurprisingly, Málaga CF chose this location a few months ago for the official 21/22 kit photo shoot.
This little piece of paradise is located about 58 kilometres from La Rosaleda. Many Malaguistas who reside in the municipality travel this distance every time our team plays at home. The roots of Malaguismo are strong in Frigiliana, as all the members of the ‘Peña Malaguista de Frigiliana Fernando Sanz 19’ will affirm, in this impressive Andalusian tourist destination. The time and distance can often be hard to overcome, so many fans haven’t yet been able to enjoy the magic of the Blue and White temple.
As such, Málaga CF has launched the ‘Malaguistas to the Core’ campaign. Under this initiative, residents of Frigiliana will go to the stadium for the match on Sunday 3rd October at 16:00 against CF Fuenlabrada. A match that will make this dream enclave located in our province more visible. Our neighbours from Frigiliana will travel on an official bus so that they can fully enjoy the experience of cheering on their team at La Rosaleda.
But it doesn’t stop there. A promotional video of Frigiliana will be shown on the video scoreboard, the town’s name will appear on the ‘U’ virtual television, and it will be mentioned on the official speaker. In addition, in the VIP area of the venue, various homegrown delights will be displayed to publicise the gastronomic wonders from Frigiliana, such as its oil, honey and avocado-based products. There are so many hidden gems in this beautiful Andalusian town!
Frigiliana and the ‘Malaguistas to the Core’ will give the team an incredible boost for the match against Fuenlabrada. We’re proud of our Malaguista roots in Frigiliana and we’re ready to give our all!
