A clear victory for Málaga Femenino against Granada CF ‘B’, at Roma Luz, on league matchday 4 of Primera Nacional Group 4. Torralvo, María Cortés, Claudia and Carmen were the Malaguista goal-scorers.
There was a good crowd for this Sunday morning fixture at the Roma Luz ground, around 250 people, who enjoyed the fourth Malaguista win of the season.
On the pitch, Ayala selected the following starting-11: María Arrabal, Marina, Ruth, Yoli, Encarni, Farfán, María Cortés, Clo, Teté, Bertuchi and Torralvo. Lorena, Carmen, Elena, Claudia and Olmedo also played, the latter in action for the final 10 minutes, returning to the pitch after a long-term injury.
Málaga soon took the lead. In minute 5’, ‘pichichi’ Sonia Torralvo scored her sixth goal of the season to open the scoring. Despite numerous clear opportunities, two from Torralvo and another from Bertuchi, the Malaguistas stayed 1-0 up at half-time.
The Malaguistas’ superiority was evident against the Granada reserve team in the second half. María Cortés scored the 2-0 in 54’ and in the closing stages, two forwards who came off the bench took centre stage. Claudia in 83’ and Carmen Gómez, with a stunning goal (85’) sealed another big win at home.
Two matches are coming up for MCFF next week at Roma Luz. On Wednesday 6th (18:00) the girls will be in action in the Copa de la Reina against CE Seagull; and on Sunday 10th (11:30) in the League against CD Santa Teresa ‘B’.
