February kicks off with ‘Blue and White Values’

CEIP Reina Sofía and CEIP Virgen de la Aurora got involved with ‘Blue and White Values’ this week.

The MCF Foundation’s project, in collaboration with #FundaciónLaCaixa - ‘Blue and White Values’ - continues to tour the schools of the province with its remote sessions. At the beginning of February, the schools that enjoyed the initiative were CEIP Reina Sofía and CEIP Virgen de la Aurora.

On Wednesday 3rd February, students at CEIP Reina Sofía in Antequera enjoyed spending time with Malaguista players Matos, Alejandra and Héctor. The latter, from the Supercapacitad@s, team, has been a nursing assistant at Hospital Santa Bárbara de Soria in the fight against COVID-19 during this health crisis. What an example for us all!

On Thursday 4th it was the turn of CEIP Virgen de la Aurora, with a virtual trip to Arriate. On this occasion, Juan Soriano, María Ruíz and Óscar Talavera represented the different teams of the Club, answering the pupils’ questions. The importance of rest and a balanced diet were just one of the values discussed during the session.

Alejandra and Juan Soriano stressed the importance of preventing the virus and explained to the students their teams’ habits and certain aspects of the regulations. “Due to the current situation, every week we have a PCR test. In addition, we wash our hands frequently, we maintain a safe distance and wear our masks at all times in the dressing room and on the bus”, said the player from the women’s first team in answer to one of the questions.

For his part, the Malaguista goalkeeper explained the routine for away games. “We are alone in our hotel rooms and in the dining room there are four people at each table. When it comes to matches, we arrive dressed in our kit and only enter the dressing room to put our boots on. We don’t shower at the stadium, we wait until we’re back at the hotel. Then we eat and return to Málaga”.

Here’s to the next remote sessions of ‘Blue and White Values’!
