Malaguista blood and bone marrow donation returns!
Next Wednesday 13th May, the Hospital Civil will host a new edition of the Malaguista Donation Day, organised by the Málaga CF Foundation together with the Centro de Transfusión, Tejidos y Células de Málaga. The event will take place from 15:00 until 21:00.
Málaga CF and its Foundation, in collaboration with the Centro de Transfusión, Tejidos y Células de Málaga, are organising a new blood and bone marrow donation day on Wednesday 13th May. The event will take place at the Hospital Civil from 15:00 until 21:00.
The goal of this solidarity initiative, inspired by the message of Pablo Ráez, is to promote blood and bone marrow donation in order to ensure the necessary resources to meet the hospital demand in the local community.
To thank donors for their gesture, the first 100 participants will receive a guaranteed Malaguista gift, with prizes including shirts signed by the entire squad, official match balls, this season’s jerseys, scarves, tickets, and other gifts. Free parking will also be provided for all attendees.
During the event, professionals from the Centro de Transfusión, Tejidos y Células de Málaga will be available to inform and register people interested in becoming bone marrow donors. To donate, the requirements are: being between 18 and 65 years old, weighing more than 50 kg, not suffering from chronic or infectious diseases, and, in the case of having recently gotten a tattoo, waiting at least four months before donating.
The Centro de Transfusión, Tejidos y Células de Málaga reminds that around 250 donations are needed every day to cover the medical procedures carried out in hospitals across the province. Citizen solidarity is essential, because blood cannot be manufactured, it can only be donated.
