Farfán and Yoli, a further sense of belonging

The Málaga CF Femenino defence will once again benefit from the versatility and commitment of Malagueña defenders María Farfán and Yoli Peche.

The Blue and Whites continue to consolidate their defence with homegrown players committed to the 22/23 project in the new Segunda RFEF. In the case of María and Yoli, they have been linked to the Club for almost a decade between the youth teams and first team.

María Farfán Hidalgo (Málaga, 2000) is one of the captains and most recognisable faces on the squad. A born fighter who always gives her all on the pitch, regardless of her position, whether as a winger or midfielder on either wing.

Part of the last promotion to Liga Iberdrola in the historic 17/18 campaign, she played in the elite in 18/19 with MCFF. Last season, when Málaga remained unbeaten in Primera Nacional (Group 4), Farfán played 25 League games and three in the Copa de la Reina.

Yolanda Peche Jaaskelainen (Málaga, 2000) is another example of dedication and love for the Blue and White colours. A central defender with the ability to play on the left of the defence, she stands out for her quality technique.

After excelling with the Malaguista reserve team, where she coincided with Farfán and was captain of the ‘B’ team, she formed part of the first team in the Reto Iberdrola between 2019 and 2021.

During the last successful 21/22 season, she was part of the league title win in the bronze division, playing 22 matches (plus another two games in the Copa de la Reina).

A feeling of belonging, eagerness and enthusiasm in abundance define two Malagueña and fervently Malaguista players. We’re thrilled you’re staying with us!
