The Blue and White entity attended the awards ceremony last Wednesday with a delegation headed by Francisco Martín Aguilar, Protocol and Institutional Relations adviser; homegrown goalkeeper, Carlos López; and Carlos Dávila, member of the MCF Academy Administration.
The Edgar Neville Auditorium hosted an event to mark the close of the 22/23 season, in which the Diputación de Málaga recognised the work of promoting sport carried out by municipalities, clubs and individuals in the province through the Municipal Sports Schools, focused on football and basketball.
The winners were Manolo Rincón (Promotion of Values in Sport), Unicaja-Mijas for women's basketball (Promotion in Sport) and Antequera CF (Merits in Sport). In addition, there was recognition of the champions of the educational football and basketball leagues; presentation of trophies to the most sporting schools in the aforementioned leagues and the 'Educate in Values' award for the outstanding teams from the Municipal Sports Schools.
Almost 4,000 young people, linked to 63 Municipal Sports Schools, finished a 22/23 season full of activities in Málaga and the province. Until next year!
