Málaga CF will compete in Primera Federación Group 2

The Blue and White entity has been included in the second group of the bronze division of Spanish football during the 23/24 season.

This Tuesday 27th June, the General Assembly of the Royal Spanish Football Federation took place in the Luis Aragonés assembly hall of the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas, Madrid

The composition of the two groups of 20 teams each in the Primera Federación has been determined. Málaga Club de Fútbol will compete in Group 2 in which nearly half of the rivals, eight, are from Andalucía. Namely, Algeciras CF, Atlético Sanluqueño CF, Club Recreativo Granada, Córdoba CF, Linares Deportivo, RC Recreativo de Huelva, San Fernando CD Isleño and a Malagueño, Antequera CF.

The remaining 11 teams are from various autonomous communities. Outside the peninsula, AD Ceuta FC, UD Melilla, CD Atlético Baleares and UD Ibiza; AD Mérida, representing Extremadura; CD Alcoyano, CD Castellón and CF Intercity, from the Comunidad Valenciana; Club Atlético de Madrid B and Real Madrid Castilla, from Madrid; and Real Murcia CF, from the Region of Murcia.

The format of the competition allows the top team in each group to be promoted directly to LaLiga SmartBank. The second, third, fourth and fifth teams in the table will face each other in a playoff, with two more teams going up to the Second Division. In contrast, the last five in both groups will be relegated to the Segunda Federación.

CD Arenteiro, CD Lugo, CD Teruel, CE Sabadell FC, CF Fuenlabrada, CF Rayo Majadahonda, Club Atlético Osasuna B, CyD Leonesa, FC Barcelona Atlètic, Club Gimnàstic de Tarragona, RC Celta de Vigo B, RC Deportivo de la Coruña, Real Sociedad de Fútbol B, Real Unión Club, SD Logroñés, SD Ponferradina, SD Tarazona, Sestao River Club, UE Cornellà and Unionistas de Salamanca CF.
