Diego: “Cádiz will demand we give the best of ourselves”

The versatile Blue and Whites’ defender and former Cádiz player, Diego González held a press conference today. “I belonged to that club for five or six years, which was a great period of my life”, he affirmed.

Group

“I feel good, I’m happy with the group. The group makes you feel more comfortable. We’re all working very well in order to be prepared for every weekend, which is the most important thing right now”.

Versatility

“Whenever I get a chance to play, I try not to focus on the position and adapt as quickly as possible. I’m grateful for all the minutes I’m able to play”.

Málaga-Cádiz

“It’s a beautiful game, as with any other. Clearly, there’s an emotional factor in my case, I’m from there and belonged to that club for five or six years, which was a great period of my life. This match will be disputed with the mentality we’ve been showing and the same determination, courage and hard work”.

Winning streak rival

“We’re aware they’ve enjoyed seven consecutive wins. It seems as though this happens every season in Cádiz. Last year they also accumulated a long strong of very good victories. They are a rival to take into account, a serious rival who works well”.

Cádiz CF

“They are a tough team that will demand we give the best of ourselves. A team that goes out fast on the counter-attack, with some very pacey players upfront and strong at the back. We must go all out and propose our idea of play”.

Demanding category

“Suffering will occur in every match. It’s important to work incredibly hard in every game. There are no rivals in this category that will make things easy. The one you believe may be somewhat of an easier target can work extremely well, so we need to grit our teeth and keep working as hard as we can, always”.
