D. Larrubia: “Staying up depends on La Rosaleda”

The Malaguista appeared at La Rosaleda ahead of Sunday’s match against CD Castellón. “If we make ourselves strong here, that’s where survival lies. These next two matches are absolutely crucial,” he said.

Looking forward to returning to La Rosaleda

“After the other day’s match, where we earned a point at a tough ground, the team is eager to face the next home game. After two games away, we’re really looking forward to playing here at La Rosaleda and making that point we got the other day count.”

A turning point

“It’s a turning point after the run of games we’d been losing, slipping away in the final minutes, and where we weren’t keeping clean sheets like we used to, which had been getting us points.”

Bravery and going for the win

“We know the situation we’re in, only winning will do. In the case of the match against Eibar, I think we have to see that point in a positive light, as a way to break the bad run we were on. We played our game, we were brave with the ball, and now we hope to win on Saturday and put in a better performance.”

La Rosaleda, key to the goal

“We know that staying up depends on La Rosaleda. If we make ourselves strong here, that’s where survival lies. These next two matches are absolutely crucial. We’ve been playing away and we know how tough that can be. Now we want teams to suffer when they come to La Rosaleda.”

CD Castellón, a tough rival

“We’ve been facing them over the past two years. We know they’re a team that thrives on chaos, attacks a lot, and presses very, very high. We watched another video of them today, and we know where we can hurt them.”
