“I had no doubts, it’s a beautiful place” said Braian Cufré when asked about the Club’s proposal for his signing. “We’d been speaking to Pablo (Chavarría), and I told him I had to wait. We’re excited to be here, I don’t know much about the city but what I’ve seen so far is beautiful”, he said.

In the two matches he’s worn the Blue and White jersey he’s shown his versatility. “I can play as left-back or more upfront, in any position we’ll try and do the best we can”, added the number ‘24’.

“It’s a very long season. The first half against Mirandés was very good, and the other day in Ibiza it was a tough game, we showed another side to us”, he said in regard to the team’s start to the league season with two draws. “It’s a very difficult competition, we’ll take each week and match at a time. We have the right team to be able to do some great things”, he stated.

Enthusiasm about the 21/22 season is palpable: “The project is great and the squad is very complete. We’re going to give our all as it’s so important in such a long season to do things right. Hopefully we’ll meet expectations”. Finally, Cufré praised the Malaguista fans: “I come from Argentina, where the atmosphere also plays a big part. I was surprised as I wasn’t expecting so much support. Let’s hope that we’ll soon be able to enjoy a capacity crowd”, he concluded.
