Press conference
José Alberto: “We want to be consistent”

The Málaga CF coach held a press conference in the Juan Cortés press room at La Rosaleda Stadium ahead of #MálagaAlcorcón. “It’s excellent news that two long-term injured players, such as Iván and Ramón, will be back with the group tomorrow”, he affirmed.

José Alberto talked about the Malaguistas’ upcoming rival: “They are one of the most experienced teams in the category, with a solid block and have played well on the first two matchdays, despite the results. They played a complete match on matchday 1 and against Fuenlabrada performed at a high level for 70 minutes. They’re a tough team to beat, solid, intense, direct and they manage defence and attack set pieces very well”, said the Asturian coach.

Tomorrow will be a special day. Iván Calero and Ramón will return to their teammates, something José Alberto is excited about. “It’s excellent news that two long-term injured players, such as Iván and Ramón, will be back with the group tomorrow. I’m sure it’ll be special for them”, he stated.

The Malaguista coach talked about the team profile he wants for his Málaga CF: “It’s a general trend for all teams and considering where we are in the season, but we must be consistent. We want to be consistent for 90 minutes, be a reliable, balanced and compact team throughout play”.

Finally, José Alberto praises the reaction of the players last week in Ibiza. “The team reacted well. They showed character and good football to turn the match around, despite being two goals down”, he said.
