Coín to host MCF’s first friendly this Friday

At midday today, the match between Málaga CF and Sheffield United FC was officially presented, taking place on Friday 14th July (19:30) at the Ciudad Deportiva José Burgos Quintana in Coín.

At the event held at Hotel Elba Estepona, Club advisers, Abdullah Ben Barek, Antonio Benítez and Francisco Martín Aguilar were present, along with the Málaga CF and Sheffield United coaches, Mayor of Coín and Deputy Sports Delegate in Málaga’s Provincial Government.

“We’re working hard, and it’s good to start playing matches as they are the most entertaining for players and coaches. In addition, encouraging the fans to get behind the team and with the existing expectations, we’re thrilled to be able to play in Coín, on what is an exceptional pitch. We’re hoping for a good crowd on Friday, as we come up against an historic side in the English League, it’s exciting”.

“It’s the first game taking place in Coín with Málaga CF as the first team in many years. It’s a very important challenge, the pitch is in perfect condition and it’s the first match of the pre-season with the new jersey and the new players, expectations are high. Nearly all the seats are sold out, there’s capacity for 2,000. I think we’re going to see a magnificent show, which is how I want it. It’s going to be an extraordinary and historic day, and we’re ready to enjoy it to the max with Málaga”.
