Miguel Ángel Garrido Cifuentes (Zújar, Granada, 1990), known in the world of football as ‘Cifu’ arrived at Málaga CF midway through the 15/16 season from Elche CF. The following season he was loaned out to Girona CF, earning promotion to LaLiga Santander. In 17/18 he debuted with the Blue and Whites in the top flight, although he was loaned out again midway through the campaign to Albacete Balompié in the Second Division.
On his second return to Málaga, Cifu played 25 matches (two goals) in the 18/19 season and a total of 35 last season, 19/20 amounting to nearly 3,000 minutes of play in LaLiga SmartBank (34 matches, two goals).
The player requested he withdraw from his contract with the Club and is free to determine his immediate professional future.
