22 players travel to Alcázar de San Juan

Juanfran Funes has all available players at his disposal, with the exception of Alfonso Herrero and Rafita, for Málaga CF’s Copa del Rey debut against Sporting de Alcázar CF.

The called-up Málaga CF players are: Cajuste, C. Puga, Einar, Pastor, Ramón, Haitam, Dotor, Chupe, D. Larrubia, Salinas, Carlos López, Rafa R., Recio, Jauregi, F. Calero, Niño, Dani Lorenzo, Izan M., J. Berrocal, Andrés, Juani and Aznou.

Following the previous away trip to face Deportivo Alavés in the league, neither goalkeeper Alfonso Herrero nor homegrown player Rafita has been included in the squad.

There are no new additions, although reserve team goalkeeper Andrés Céspedes, who was left out of the 24-man squad that travelled to Vitoria, retains his place in Funes’ selection.

Málaga CF travel to Castilla-La Mancha today, on matchday itself. Tonight at 21:00, they face Sporting de Alcázar in the first round of the 2026/27 Copa del Rey at the Manuel Delgado Meco stadium.
