Training at La Rosaleda and the Ciudad Deportiva ahead of the Cup
Málaga trained on Monday ahead of their Copa del Rey debut tomorrow, Tuesday, against Castilla-La Mancha side Sporting de Alcázar CF.
A morning session got the week underway, with Málaga facing two away fixtures in the Copa del Rey and the league, in Sevilla and Ciudad Real.
Work began at La Rosaleda Stadium with a video session before the squad travelled on the team’s official bus to the Ciudad Deportiva Fundación MCF, where training took place on the pitch known as ‘La Pradera’.
The session included gym work, physical activation exercises, a group round, small-sided drills with the ball, tactical work and set-piece practice, all in intense heat.
Diego Murillo continues to build up his workload, while Martínez, Joaquín, Cruz, Aaron Ochoa and Lobete were absent from the group as they were not yet fit to train.
Málaga CF will travel to the Castilla-La Mancha town of Alcázar de San Juan tomorrow. At 21:00, they will kick off their 2026/27 Copa del Rey campaign against local side Sporting de Alcázar at the Manuel Delgado Meco.
