Cifu: “We’re going to Girona to play a serious match”

The Blue and Whites’ player analyses the duel with the Red and Whites, where he was loaned out last season, to the media: “It’s exciting to be able to face them in the First Division”.

Return to Girona

“It’s exciting to be able to face them in the First Division. They’ve been working on this system together for a long time, and are very clear about what they play. The rival won’t speculate, they know what they have to do and they do it, they are a very intense team who demand a great deal. As long as I can help with the guidelines we worked on there, and if I can contribute something more, we’ll see if we’re able to counteract their game somewhat”.

Fixing mistakes at Montilivi

“We started LaLiga determined to earn points, and although we couldn’t do it at home, we’re going to Girona to play a serious match, and will try and bring the three points back that we were unable to claim earlier this week. Our focus is on Girona, on what will be a tough match, and concentrating on correcting the mistakes of the previous game”.

Chameleon team

“We’re a versatile squad, able to adapt to various systems or styles of play, even in the same match. We work the systems and can start with one and change to another. I can personally adapt to that path, and we’re prepared to play both ways, both as ‘carrileros’ and in the line of four”.

Atmosphere at La Rosaleda

“The response from the fans was admirable. The stadium was full, which gives us the boost we need. There are only words of thanks for the fans, and I’m certain they’ll continue to support us in other games so we can clinch victory”.
