Atlético Malagueño return to their lucky ground. On Sunday, they will face Granada-based side, CD Huétor Vega on matchday 2 in Third Division Group IX. The Blue and Whites defeated CD UD Ciudad de Torreonjimeno in the first match of the competition by a major 0-4.

Following the victory against this tough initial rival, the Malaguistas are going back home, where last season they delivered some extraordinary figures.

The senior team of the MCF Academy competed in 22 games last season at home, including the 2B promotion play-offs, of which they won 21, and drew only once. Indeed, it was the Granada-based rival, CD Huétor Tájar against whom they drew.

The stats also reflect the great scoring ability of the Malaguistas last season; 76 goals scored and only 14 conceded. Goals that led to the best figures in the reserve team’s history, accumulating 107 goals during the regular season, and 8 in the play-offs, totalling 115 goals.

The reserve team return to their fortress this Sunday! Vamos, Malagueño!
