Cifu spoke to the Club media following Tuesday’s training session: “With so many matches in such a short space of time, it’s crucial that we’re all pumped up”.

“The entire squad and coaching team cannot wait for the competition to resume. This first match isn’t going to be easy, but we are very much looking forward to it”.

“In this situation, with many matches in a row, the entire squad is going to be very important. All the players need to be raring to go, it could be that those who have had less minutes over the season will be highly important. It’s crucial that we’re all pumped up and focused on what is an opportunity for everyone”.

A mental reset

“Personally, I feel great. I think I’ve arrived back on good form as I always tend to arrive in pretty good shape after a break. I think this is good for all of us, to serve as a mental reset for everyone”.

The fans’ support will be crucial from home

“The fans’ support is very important to us at our ground. They give us an extra boost which obviously we’ll miss. It’s a handicap as we really feel their support, but we know that, although they won’t be in the stands, they’ll be cheering us on and we need to respond to that”.
